Ultimate wedding planning resources

Ultimate wedding planning resources

Are you planning your wedding – or about to begin? Great timing! I have some top tips from other just-married couples and I have assembled them into a handy blog for you!

Apparently, it takes around eight to twelve days for couples to organise a wedding; that’s around 200-300 hours! No wonder people can get stressed.  Well, fear not! My couples regularly name-check these five wedding planning resources as a Godsend and I am confident that they will help you, too:

A GREAT WEDDING PLANNING APP

Bridebook is very popular with my couples. Not only is it free to use, but it has excellent resources, such as budget trackers and guest, gift and supplier lists. Bridebook also has rich resources for vendors, so, for example, you’ll find venue inspo and you can even search by classification (castle, hotel etc) as well as location. Check it out: https://bridebook.co.uk/

HOW TO ORGANISE A WEDDING SEATING PLAN

My couples often recommend Top Table Planner! A fantastic, easy-to-use website which allows you to arrange your seating plan in minutes. It offers a free trial and a seating plan from £10. You can choose your table shape and style, and add tables or people in, swap things about and edit details at the drop of a hat. Simple!  http://www.toptableplanner.com/

ANOTHER ( POSSIBLY ALREADY FAMILIAR ) WEDSITE TO ORGANISE YOUR WHOLE WEDDING

No need for a notebook! You can use this virtual project management tool which has boards, lists and cards – and the ability to add notes such as ‘florist paid’ – to keep on top of your wedding plans. Some of you in project management may already be using Trello, however, if not, it’s still suitable for a complete novice due to the simple user interface – and you can collaborate with your better half, here, to lighten the load: https://trello.com/

LOOKING FOR WEDDING INSPIRATION?

You’ll probably be all over this already! It’s….Pinterest! And if not, you will be excited to hear that you can search for terms such as #bohoweddingflowers or #weddingtablecentres and you’re off into a world of ideas!

A GREAT WEDDING PLANNING WEBSITE

Similar to Bridebook in many ways, with rich wedding planning resources, as well as ideas and inspiration, Hitched is popular with my couples, too, and has an added shop function, which gives ideas for gifts for the wedding party, favours and much more. Take a look:

I hope you find these resources of use. I’m sure you will; they’ve certainly helped out my couples.  And while you’re here, they also liked these blogs of mine:
